Spalding County Manager
Spalding County is governed by five elected Commissioners and an appointed County Manager who oversees the day-to-day operations of the County, advises the Board, and implements Commission policies. The County Manager serves as the Chief Administrator of the County and provides support to ensure that all ordinances, resolutions, projects, initiatives, goals, and objectives of the Board of County Commissioners are properly coordinated and executed.
William Wilson, Spalding County’s Manager, is responsible for leading an organization of approximately 550 employees and a budget for fiscal year 2013/2014 of $92.9M dollars. Mr. Wilson is responsible for the professional management of all programs and activities under the Board of County Commissioners. In addition, the he is responsible for overseeing the County's Economic & Community Development Services, Human Resources, Resource Management, and Information Services Departments. Additionally, Mr. Wilson also serves as liaison between the Board of County Commissioners and several working committees.
