The Spalding County Public Works Department is responsible for maintenance of the roadways and right-of-ways for the County. The Road Department is primarily responsible for:

  • Pothole complaints
  • Sign requests
  • Street repaving requests/priority list
  • Right-of-way mowing, tree/brush trimming
  • Paving of dirt roads
  • Gravel Road Maintenance
  • Culvert sizing
  • Road Inspections
  • Bridge Inspections
  • Bridge Maintenance

In addition, the Spalding County Public Works Department is responsible for the Landfill and Recycling operations for the County. The recycling centers are open four days a week from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Centers are closed on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays. There are five Collection Centers in Spalding County:
