Dog Park is OPEN!

August 26th, 2020
On Wednesday, December 2, 2020, The Spalding County Dog Park officially opened. The dog park is made up of three (3) fenced areas. The fenced areas are designed for dogs based on weight: small dog (under 30lbs,) medium dogs (30lbs to 60lbs,) and large dogs (greater than 60lbs.) The park is open from daylight to dusk and is unsupervised. To use the park, all dogs must be vaccinated, healthy and parasite free. The dog park has a few rules:
• Dogs must be vaccinated and licensed with current rabies tag visible on collar.
• Dogs must stay on leash between the parking lot and fenced area.
• No digging allowed, but if dog so chooses owner must ensure hole is filled prior to leaving.

The Dog Park at Carver Road Park was a collaboration with Spalding County, UGA Archway Architecture Students, Griffin+Spalding Leadership 2016, 2017, & 2018 Classes, Griffin Daybreak Rotary, and The Rotary Club of Griffin. We were excited to have representation from all the organizations to cut the ribbon and officially announce the newest addition to the Spalding County Parks system. We want to see how much you love this new park so when visiting The Dog Park with man’s best friend we ask that you #inSpalding in any of your photos or tag us on
