Spalding County Parks and Leisure Services Master Plan
This year-long process will assess and create a plan for Spalding County Parks & Leisure Services, emphasizing community input that will guide the maintenance and enhancement of the county’s parks, trails, open spaces, events, programs, and facilities over the next 5 to 10 years.
Project Goals
1. To develop goals, policies, guidelines, and to prioritize strategies based on funding scenarios.
2. To develop a parks system that meets the genuine needs and desires of the local population.
3. To identify the specific recreational facilities most in demand by the citizens of the County.
4. To effectively appropriate the County’s capital funds in the most efficient manner.
5. To develop concept plans for ten (10) identified parks/facilities based on findings of the master plan.
6. To develop a Maintenance Plan for all public grounds listed in the RFP.
7. To develop a Budget cost estimate and phasing plan for a 10-year development cycle.

Parks & Leisure Services Master Plan Survey
This opinion survey is part of an effort to prepare a Parks & Leisure Services Comprehensive Master Plan for Spalding County. Citizen input is used to develop recommendations for future improvements to existing parks and facilities, acquiring land for new parks, developing new parks and facilities, adding new recreational programs, and streamlining operations and maintenance plans.
