Spalding County Emergency Management Director, Kenny West, announced today the receipt of the Response and Recovery Award from the Emergency Management Performance Grant through the Georgia Emergency Management Agency. This award of $28,164 will be used to mitigate and provide resources that protect our citizens and support our first responders who provide emergency services to citizens that may be impacted by natural and man-made disasters.

The Spalding County Emergency Management Agency works tirelessly to provide planning, mitigation, prevention and response to all emergencies in Spalding County and this grant award will assist with additional resources. Spalding County Emergency Management Director West, stated that, “We are very thankful for this highly competitive award and for the resources that we can provide through it to our community”.
