On Thursday, December 14, 2017, the State of Georgia filed an Executive Order signed by Governor Nathan Deal ordering that Marcia Norris, Clerk of the Superior and State Courts of Spalding County be suspended from office for a period of 60 days.

During this time I, Debbie L. Brooks, will be serving as the Spalding County Superior and State Court Clerk. It is my desire to keep all court matters operating as usual and no court dates will be affected.

I am grateful for the support of the Spalding County Board of Commissioners and the elected officials of the Griffin Judicial Circuit for this opportunity to serve.
