DUNSTAN MILNER PROMOTED TO CAPTAIN

Spalding County Fire Chief, Kenny West, announced the promotion of Lieutenant Dunstan Milner to Captain. All applicants were screened by a panel style interview process and Milner was named to the position.

Lieutenant Milner began his career with the Spalding County Fire Department in February 1996 as a Firefighter. During his career, Milner has worked to obtain advanced certifications in Fire Investigations and other technical rescue certifications such as trench rescue and auto extrication. Milner is very active in the community serving as a football coach with the Spalding County Parks and Recreation and a member of the National Youth Coaching Association. Milner is also active in the community by visiting area nursing homes and taking time to visit and life experiences with residents.

Captain Milner was born and raised in Spalding County. He began his career with the Spalding County Fire Department in February 1996, and has worked his way through the ranks. Milner promoted to Lieutenant in 1999.

Spalding County Fire Chief, Kenny West, stated that, “Milner’s knowledge and understanding of the position of Captain will serve this department and community well. Dunstan has been and will continue to be a valuable part of the Spalding County Fire Department and an active member of our community.”
