What is Geocaching? Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location. It's a fun and exciting way to explore the outdoors, discover hidden treasures, and enjoy the beauty of our county parks!
This one of a kind agility course is located at Volunteer Park on Flynt Street between the softball and football fields. This course is suitable for youth and adults and features bleacher seating and a small pavilion. Challenge your freinds and family to a race or enjoy a picnic!
Fishing is an excellent way to unwind, relax and de-stress and it’s an activity that the whole family can enjoy together! Dundee Lake Park offers a 28 acre fishing lake suitable for bank fishing or small, non-gas motor boats. No boat ramp is available so boats must be carried from parking area to the lake. Fishermen of all ages and skill levels can enjoy catching Bass, Catfish and Crappie. This park is open and fishing is allowed from 7am to dark. A State Fishing License is required from Georgia Dept. of Natural Resources for everyone age 16 and older.

The Grind Skate Park featuring a 6 foot half pipe, several quarter pipes, bank to bank, multiple event fun box, various grinding rails and more! Now open to all wheels: BMX in-line, scooters, roller skates, etc.

Named in honor of Ernest Howard Atkinson who owned the original site, Ernie’s Trail is located at Wyomia Tyus Olympic Park. The trail, with its natural beauty and area teeming with both flora and fauna, can be used for both peaceful respites and classroom settings.
Quarry’s Edge Park is 130 acres of wooded land located in the “middle of the city. ”Phase 1 features over four miles of mountain bike trails, hiking trails, a restroom/pavilion, a NERF-soft dart war zone, a parking area, a bike washing station, a bike repair station, kiosks, emergency weather covers, signage, and landscaping.

The Griffin-Spalding Athletic Hall of Fame is located at 841 Memorial Drive, Griffin and is open Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm. The Hall of Fame features many great local athletes including three time Olympic Gold Medalist Wyomia Tyus, Football Hall of Fame Inductee Rayfield Wright, Atlanta Falcon great Jessie Tuggle and Atlanta Braves Second and Third Baseman Jeff Treadway to name just a few.
Admission is free and donations are accepted.
